I stayed at this hotel which had its ups and downs. The location was ideal for what I needed, being close to the village center, but the noise from the nearby pub was quite bothersome, especially on weekends. The rooms were okay overall, but the constant ringing of bells from the church opposite was quite disruptive, especially at night. The service was a mixed bag - some staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, while one person was quite grumpy and seemed bothered by any requests. The dining experience was decent, but some menu items were no longer available. The facilities were okay, nothing extraordinary.

I had the best sleep ever in the room overlooking the courtyard of the Vaults Bar despite it being really cold. The staff provided a dry breakfast on the go when I had to leave early, which was much appreciated. However, their friendliness was a bit lacking as they were not very welcoming, just matter of fact.
